Take off the Mask
Brothers and sisters, I know that during this pandemic it is a requirement that we wear mask to protect ourselves and to protect others that we meet. However, as uncomfortable as this mandate may seem, this is not the only time that folks have worn mask. This may surprise you, but people have been wearing mask from the beginning of time, every day, all day, and not by force you see, but by choice and their reasons, behavior and actions for doing so have not change.
Please note, we are not talking about a visible Mask that would protect you from a cruel, non-discriminating virus like the one we are currently dealing with. No, I am referring to an invisible one that hides the falsehood, secrets, addictions and lies that the enemy uses to bring down and defeat the tortured, captive souls that tries desperately to disguise themselves and their sometimes hourly and daily battle against principalities of darkness that they must face, fight, and keep at bay.
For those of you who reside (by choice) behind invisible bars I just want you to know that you may hide from people, but you surely cannot hide from God. God knows all, sees all. And for your sake and assurance, he has the power to cure all if you would only let Him.
Beloved, I am inviting you to get quiet, sit down, take a deep breath and be true to yourself. “Take off the mask” open your heart and invite Jesus to come in. Allow yourself to experience the awesome cleansing, healing power of His unconditional love and grace. Learn of Him, trust Him.
Because He is the answer to what you need and what you are going through. He knows just what to do. You do not have to pretend to be something you are not, “Take off the Mask”! You do not have to continue to be or to listen to the dark whispers of lies and deception of the enemy, telling you who and what you are not. Accept Jesus today and learn to embrace the true you, the righteous you, the essence of who you are.
The Bible says that when you belong to Jesus, you become the righteousness of Christ and having the mind of Christ.
You have not been painted with the brush of death, darkness and defeat but by God’s grace when you accept Jesus you will be washed in the blood of the sacrificial Lamb of God destined for a more abundant life here on earth and life for all eternity with Christ Jesus. Therefore “Take off the Mask” Beloved because Jesus have you covered.
Scripture to stand on:
2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV:
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Luke 4:18 KJV:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
1 Peter 4:8 ESV:
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
1 John 4:18 KJV:
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Behind The Mask
by Melisa Bernards
Hiding the hurt, hiding the pain,
Hiding the tears that fall like rain.
Saying I’m fine when I’m anything but.
This ache in my soul rips at my gut.
My skin is on fire; I burn from within.
The calm on my face is an ongoing sin.
The world must stay out; I’ve built up a wall.
My fragile lie will collapse should it ever fall.
Loneliness consumes me; it eats away the years
Until my life is swallowed by unending fears.
Waiting for someone to see I wear a mask
And care enough to remove it; is that too much to ask?
Beloved, If you want to develop a personal relationship with this Jesus or rededicate your life to Him, please read and embrace the scripture below, then repeat the brief prayer under the scripture
Scripture: Romans 10:9-10 KJV:
- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.
- For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
Brief prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. I now repent of my sins and ask that you come into my life and save me, creating the vessel you desire for me to be in Jesus’s name, Amen!
