For some 2023 was one of the best years that they may have ever experienced. Yet for countless others it may have been just the opposite. To many, it may not have only been a difficult year. But, it may have been one of the worst that they have ever seen or imagined. For many have experienced and endured tremendous death and loss of all kinds, sickness, rejections, betrayal and even some unexplainable kind of pain that could almost fit any situation or circumstances you can think of or name. But today is a new day, “A new thing” is unfolding in a new year, a new season and a new beginning for countless who have decided to trust by faith and obey.
Because of your trust and faith, God gave you “standing grace” to not give up or give in. Even though, I’m sure that there were times your body was telling you to give up and “quit”. Especially when you may not have been able to see your way or the “light at the end of the tunnel”. But by God’s grace and His unconditional love, He kept you strong and enabled you to keep pressing on.
So now, by God’s grace here you are at the end of the year 2023 and the debut of the year 2024. You’ve made it through the depths of the darkest, unpredictable desert and wilderness experience led by the spirit out of harm’s way into the protective cleansing light of Jesus with a new year well on its way.
The clock is ticking, the countdown has begun. The old year has unwillingly surrendered all of its failures, successes, uncertainties, good times and bad and now it is quickly fading away into the past. with baited breath and great expectations you are looking forward to welcoming the new year in. With stary eyes, and childlike glee, folks all around are smiling, shouting and holding hands.
It is not only the ending of an old year but for many it is a rebound, a new beginning and a new start. The incoming new year is pregnant and full of life, heavy laden with promises and great expectations makes its debut as the old year fades unapologetically into the misty background of yesterday and the “archives” of gold, giving way for the new year and stories yet to be told. As countless souls silently ponder their “game plan” and their new year’s resolution.
A new day, a new year is here now. 2023 has passed away. The God of a “second Chance” has brought you through, even if you don’t think so. you are favored and blessed. Many folks who were here last year this time are no longer here today, but by God’s grace you are here. For that reason and more, He is getting ready to do a new thing in and through your life. He didn’t watch over you and brought you out to just leave you where you are. He wants to use all of your experiences, challenges and pain for His, yours and others gain. He wants to use you as a reflection vessel and a source of help, encouragement and strength for others.
Therefore, in this season a Godly “reset” is about to take place in your life. It is “a blessing and a divine gift”. Not from Santa Claus, Aunt Lucy or Pastor Wayne but only from the wonderful gracious God of a “second chance” Jesus Christ. if you would only believe, trust and have faith that He was the one who brought you through and give you victory. He is now waiting to give you a “reset” that will take away the stain and the strain of 2023 as He lovingly wipes the slate clean preventing any past residue to hurt, prevent or stop you from a new beginning in this new Year.
For by His grace and your faith your hopes, prayers and dreams can now come true. Jesus, our Lord already has a plan for you. As the new year boldly makes its debut. Our Lord Jesus has already made a plan for you. As Jeremiah 29:11 confirms: “For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, they are plans for good and not for evil, “to give you a future and a hope”. This new year has entered in with a big bang. Bringing with it all of its sparkling, glitter, star power, excitement and promises for change.
I advise you to take notice during this new year and this new season to slow down for a moment and listen to that still soft voice that is speaking to you loud and clear that “He is about to do a new thing”, “Isaiah 43:19”, in your life and in order for that to take place you must be receptive. You must decide to forget those issues and things from the past with all of its emotional pain, hurts, rejections, failures and lost and enter into a new season by faith and trust in God.
He loves you unconditionally and no matter what, He will go before you and make a way where there may seem to be no way. He will create a hedge of protection and a wall of resistance against all that the enemy throws at you and give you a clear path out of any situation or circumstance that you may find yourself in. He will go before you to make sure that all is well and stacked in your favor, even before you arrive. He will create opportunities that no one can take away and remove potential problems and stumble blocks along the way. He will send people in your life that need to be there and He will take those out of your life that doesn’t need to be there or does not have your best interest at heart.
He will give you clear passage and “make sure that the crooked places are made straight.” If you would only trust and believe, He will surely see you through and make 2024 the most bountiful, Happy and prospers New Year you’ve ever seen.
