To be a chosen vessel for Jesus is a blessing beyond words. But in the end my friend, it is not the calling, it is the choice” that conquers and wins. For many are called tis true, but few accepts the call and follow through. Therefore, when you know for certain that you are called, you must decide to accept the call, then give the “call and Jesus” not only your best, but your all. This means surrendering all that you are and all that you have to Him. Your plans, your purpose, and your goals now exist solely for Him.
This is the reflection and completion of Surrender 101.Less of us and more of Him should be all of our desires every day in every way. For in most of our current spiritual state, we can never be all that Jesus would like for us to be. We must continue to die to self so that His calling for us, His plans and purpose for us can come forth and flow in and through us, as His Spirit rest heavily upon us. For He is continually guiding our steps as self slowly slips away. Creating a clear path for Jesus to work His will and live His life through us, each and every day,
Like a huge blank canvas, our life will be to Him, not like an artist in training but as a Master of His craft. Jesus will mold us and create in us a greatness that we could never see or imagine. As He works His plans and purpose in and through our lives for others to see Him and not us.
Therefore, when our life is in His mighty powerful hands. Jesus like the Potter who fashions the clay, will begin to press, push and squeeze us in so many different ways in order to Mold us into the new creature God desires for us to become.
As He prepares a path and continues to order our steps to accomplish His will of reaching out to others as He would do, breaking chains of bondage and saving souls to. But remember my friend, that in the end, it is not the calling,” it is the choice”.
“For many are called but few choose to surrender all and obey” the call”. So, please remember the bottom line, that it is always the choice not the call that really matters and ultimately wins in the end. For the choice is the decision and the action of the doer based on and empowered by God’s calling that will create the desire that will ignite the flames of change. And the change, sometimes, burning and dripping with soot and debris of sin’s fallout that will be the catalyst to produce the breakthrough that will set the captives free.

Supportive Poem:
The Call
by C. Richard Phelps Sr.
The call came loud and clear,
On that day so long ago.
God’s will for me I did hear
As this He made me to know.
Of what He would have me to do
With this redeemed life of mine;
To be heard true
Sounding forth His Word divine.
Talent had I none.
Nor able was I then,
To get the least thing done
Or speak a word to men.
How was God to use
Such a helpless one as I?
This question did I muse.
As I awaited His reply.
“My strength is yours to claim,
Through weakness it yours can be.
Seek not glory for self nor fame
And upon you my power you will see”
(II Cor. 12:9, Jer. 45:5)
These are the words I heard
So many years ago,
And I’ve sought to preach His Word
As onward through life I go.
Scripture: Romans 10:9-10 KJV:
- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.
- For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
Brief prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. I now repent of my sins and ask that you come into my life and save me, creating the vessel you desire for me to be in Jesus’s name, Amen!
