Hello my friend and Merry Christmas! This season, more than any other time or season of the year, the generosity and kindness of folks everywhere are flowing like butter on a tall stack of hot blueberry pancakes. Almost everywhere you look, the show and out pouring of the appearance of God’s love in action is bursting out at the seams. With the “theme of being kind and doing good” as being worthy enough to reflect the season and as its inspiration to showcase God’s love and the “Peace on earth and good will toward men” mindset, action and deed that it brings.
This my friend is done mostly as a show, most of the time and not from the depths of one’s spirit or heart. The action is just a reflection of the season not a flame of emotion coming from the heart. This “being kind and doing good action on surface just isn’t good enough. Unless it is real. It just won’t do. Because God wants the real you so that He can teach and minister the “Being kind and doing good in you and through you each and every day throughout the year regardless, comes what may.
Well, my friend, God wants any doing good and being kind actions to be real. To be the love that comes only from the depth of one’s heart, soul and spirit to shine forth every day, no matter the trouble, situation or occasion. Jesus wants His agape love to go forth as a light house, seeking the lost, the hurting, lonely and outcast who have lost their way and have gone astray and now feeling like strangers that don’t belong.
My friend this Christmas Jesus wants us as His hands, feet and mouth piece to reflect Him in all that we say or do. Especially when we are doing good and being kind not just on some special occasion or certain days. But He desires to be there for us, working in and through us in every opportunity that avails itself to us and to anyone who would truly open the doors of their hearts and minds and allow Jesus to enter into their life for a better and brighter future and for His honor and glory.
Saints and sinners alike are eagerly showing kindness and a form of brotherly love during this Christmas season. Especially to the down trodden, elderly and poor. Many who have never shown compassion or ever given before during the year are now looking for ways, people and places to give to. Many have said that it makes them feel closer to God or like A better person inside. Some have said this is what Jesus would want them to do. So just continue to do good and be kind my friend as long as it is real and is truly coming from the heart for that pleases God and always blesses anyone who really wants to reflect Jesus by being loving and doing good and being kind. God bless you and thank you.
With Humble Greetings for a very Merry Christmas!!!
Supporting Scriptures:
Galatians 5:22-24
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Ephesians 4:32 KJV
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Supportive Poem:
Let us be kind
by W. Lomax Childress
Let us be kind;
The way is long and lonely,
And human hearts are asking for this blessing only—
That we be kind.
We cannot know the grief that men may borrow,
We cannot see the souls storm-swept by sorrow,
But love can shine upon the way to-day, to-morrow—
Let us be kind.
Let us be kind;
This is a wealth that has no measure,
This is of Heaven and earth the highest treasure—
Let us be kind.
A tender word, a smile of love in meeting,
A song of hope and victory to those retreating,
A glimpse of God and brotherhood while life is fleeting—
Let us be kind.
Let us be kind;
Around the world the tears of time are falling,
And for the loved and lost these human hearts are calling—
Let us be kind.
To age and youth let gracious words be spoken;
Upon the wheel of pain so many lives are broken,
We live in vain who give no tender token—
Let us be kind.
Let us be kind;
The sunset tints will soon be in the west,
Too late the flowers are laid then on the quiet breast—
Let us be kind.
And when the angel guides have sought and found us,
Their hands shall link the broken ties of earth that bound us,
And Heaven and home shall brighten all around us—
Let us be kind.
Scripture: Romans 10:9-10 KJV:
- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.
- For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
Brief prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. I now repent of my sins and ask that you come into my life and save me, creating the vessel you desire for me to be in Jesus’s name, Amen!
