It has been said that pride is one of the Devil’s main tools to accomplish his will of division, destruction and sin of all kind. Opposite of humility, pride is said to be the main lure to take mankind down slowly as well as suddenly. When in his mind, man is deceived into thinking that what he is doing is enlightening himself and helping himself to excel upward and onward.
Selfishness, disobedience, arrogance, cruelty, lust and greed are some of the vicious seeds that produces the crop of pride which blossoms to corruption that leads to one’s down fall or even to one’s death. For Pride, my friend is no friend. It is straight from the pit where it belongs for it is cold, controlling, deceptive and binding and void of basic compassionate human feelings.
Pride, my brothers and sisters is the mindset that caused Satan to desire to upsurge God’s Kingdom and have others do the same by worshiping him. He wanted to be and have the same position and power of almighty God. This is the reason why Pride is so dangerous. Because it keeps us from having a close relationship with Christ. Pride puffs up oneself and unapologetically puts down all others including God when the need is there.
Since Pride, my friend is the Devil’s main tool in his box of tools. Unconditional love, grace and mercy are proven methods and tools of the Lord to use anytime, anywhere, especially in real time to carve away the world’s accumulation and contamination of sin and all that tags along with it in order to “set the captives free”. With God’s saving grace, tender mercies and unconditional love.
