One of the nine fruits of the spirit, Patience is the one that is most difficult and hardest to obtain and to maintain. It requires and demands a continuation of dying to self and calling all of your inner strength, ability and attention to focus, wait and respond in humility and grace with whatever issue at hand. Regardless of what it may be without losing interest fever or purpose.

Patience is not just a call. It is a spiritual yardstick or meter to measure one’s maturity in Christ. Patience should be a way of life to live in the stream of timeless agenda for God’s agenda to be known. To live and have the capacity not of your own but to be controlled and guided by His will, His purpose, His schedule and His timing.

To quiet and still your spirit in such a way that God almighty will always have His way is the beauty and wonder of patience that like any seed has to be cultivated in order to grow.

The strange thing about patience is it’s growing is not in more but in less. We must die to self daily in every way so that we will reflect less and less of ourselves and more of Jesus. Which will produce more godly qualities and virtues, such as more humility, more unselfishness, and a more thankful and grateful attitude. Patience is the quiet teacher that will leave his mark on every soul who has yield their will and purpose to his to be used to bless others and to magnify and glorify His precious Holy name.

Scripture to stand on:

Ephesians 4:2 KJV:
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Romans 8:25 KJV:
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Supportive Poem:

Life Is Patience

by Julie Hebert

To live how we want,
And to do what we please.
Can sometimes be tough,
And not done with great ease.

Life works in many ways,
Some good and some bad.
Which stops us in our tracks,
And makes us really mad.

We can’t all get,
What we want right away.
And waiting is needed,
To show us the way.

So learn the lesson now,
That some never learn.
Waiting patiently,
Will allow you your turn.

Beloved, If you want to develop a personal relationship with this Jesus or rededicate your life to Him, please read and embrace the scripture below, then repeat the brief prayer under the scripture

Scripture: Romans 10:9-10 KJV:

  • That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.
  • For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

Brief prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. I now repent of my sins and ask that you come into my life and save me, creating the vessel you desire for me to be in Jesus’s name, Amen!
