There was a mature lady working behind a counter in a busy membership type store with a rather odd hair color for a lady of her age. However, the outfit, and the matching glasses she wore along with the complementing hair style, together with that rather odd hair color blended nicely to my surprise. After looking at her for a moment, something inside of me prompted me to just give her a complement about her hair color. Then suddenly, after the lord spoke through me her countenance lit up like a Christmas tree and she thank me with genuine heartfelt thanks.

However, what was so amazing was the fact that the lady that she was currently waiting on had the same impression and view of her hair style and color that I did but was reluctant to say anything. But when I spoke up, she immediately, piggy backed on my comments and gave her a complement as well. Stating “that she noticed her hair and felt the same way”, but for whatever the reason she didn’t speak up and blessed the lady with the grace that God wanted her to hear.

Therefore, I thank God for using me as a vessel of encouragement for such a time as that? A complement maybe small and insignificant to some, but to a weary, lonely soul it could be just the oasis they have been praying for or the well of fresh water that they have been thirsting to drink from.

It was obvious that the lady needed some encouragement or just needed to hear and know that someone sincerely cares and took the time to notice and “just say it,” I thank God for watering the desert in her heart and her emotional needs through our brief encounter.

However, If God blesses you to be used as a vessel to minister to someone in need of help, support or just a kind word, please keep in mind; void of your health or safety being in jeopardy just speak up and tell the person what’s on your mind or in your heart”. Because in reality, it is not about you. It is about what God wants to do in and through you and when He does, I can assure you that God will do the rest.

Amen! Selah!

Supporting Scriptures:

Isaiah 50:4 KJV
The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

Tell Them

by Andraé Crouch

Tell them
Even if they don’t believe you
Just tell them
Even if they don’t receive you
Oh, tell them for me
Tell them for me please
Please, tell them for me
Tell them that i love them
And i came to let them know
Tell them
When it seems you are forsaken
Just tell them
Though it seems you are earthly shaken
Oh, tell them for me
Tell them for me please
Please, tell them for me
Tell them that i love them
And i came to let them know
Tell that lonely man who walks
The colds streets all alone
Tell that crying child
Who doesn’t have a home
Tell those hungry people dying
And lost in the desert
They don’t even know that i care
Intrumental bridge
Tell them for me please
Tell them that i love them
Oh, just tell them on the streets
And on the high ways
And tell them and even on the bi-ways
Tell them I can mend the broken heart
And restore the ones who have parted
And i came to let them know
I came to let them know
And i came to let them know
They must know
They must know
…must know
