Beloved, Christmas is almost here and Jesus, being the real reason for the season message and mission has almost been pushed aside. Replaced by commercialism, decorations and Santa Clause. This should create a deep depth of sadness and pain in all believer’s heart. For our Savior, Lord and Friend who willingly gave up his deity to be born of a virgin in a manger and clothed in humanity, to give his life as ransom for our sins is no longer the guest at his own birthday celebration. I’m sure that it grieves Jesus and beloved, it should grieve you as well, if you are a believer.

Jesus’s miracle birth and obedient sacrifice for our sins is so easily forgotten like sand blowing in the wind. This should grieve all of us who are true believers in Christ and knowing that he is in us, what concerns him should automatically concerns us. Because He is the Vine and we are the Branches. The Spirit of “Wisdom, Love and life” itself flows into us from him. His will becomes our will and his agenda becomes our agenda. So, what is pleasing to Jesus should be the same to us and what is not pleasing to him or “what grieves him should grieve us”.

Beloved, Jesus is “Holy”, Righteous, full of Grace and Truth” and as a vessel of his we should with every fiber of our being surrender to him in order to become more and more like him. And in doing so we will develop the mind of Christ, the will of Christ and the lifestyle of Christ.

For Jesus is Holy and therefore when we choose to follow Him. We should strive for holiness every day in every way our selves. When we do, it will be easy to love and embrace the things that he loves and hate the things that he hates.

Remember beloved that Jesus loves all, saint and sinner a like unconditionally but his promises are not without requirements. Therefore, you should continually surrender yourself to him and his presence in you will lead and guide you so that your actions will mirror his heart and assuredly he will be pleased, not grieved and you will be too.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

From my heart to yours!

Supportive Poem:

Grieve Not The Holy Spirit

by Deborah Ann Belka

If the Holy Spirit,

we’re not to grieve

then in His indwelling

we must truly believe.

For it’s in His power,

that we are humble

keeping us upright

whenever we stumble.

If the Holy Spirit,

we’re not to distress

then in His strength

we must progress.

For it’s in His might,

that we’re to others kind

and our anger will not

have control of our mind.

If the Holy Spirit,

we’re not to make bitter

when we cannot be . . .

a faithful race quitter!

Beloved, If you want to develop a personal relationship with this Jesus or rededicate your life to Him, please read and embrace the scripture below, then repeat the brief prayer under the scripture

Scripture: Romans 10:9-10 KJV:

  • That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.
  • For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

Brief prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. I now repent of my sins and ask that you come into my life and save me, creating the vessel you desire for me to be in Jesus’s name, Amen!
