Brothers and sisters, if you have already given your life to God, you are already favored. Most Believers are very familiar with the meaning of “God’s grace”. That it is the unearned or “unmerited favor of God” that shows up through various means of protection, blessings and more. Some may say that God’s tangible evidence of his grace is a physical manifestation of what most folks call “favor”.

However, it has been said that “divine favor supersedes rules, regulations and even ones’ past, changing circumstances in ways that logical effort cannot.” “That divine favor is intentional and is assigned to a person to help fulfill a destiny.

Brothers and sisters, we serve an all knowing, all seeing and all-powerful, Holy, Sovereign God that has purpose and lofty standards. The Bible states in Psalm 84:11 “The Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly”. Beloved, God wants us to live a wholesome, God reverencing life that mirrors him. So that one day we could be someone’s first Bible experience, or someone’s first encounter with the true and living God with his presence shining from us.

The scriptures say: “Surely Lord, you bless the righteous, you surround them with your favor as with a shield” Psalm 5:12 NIV. Beloved, it should be clear that how we live should matter to us as it does to God. Because it has great consequence. God wants his people to live a God reverence, wholesome, obedient, honorable lifestyle that is align with his agenda and purpose.

There are many voices that states “Favor is not fair”. That statement is always up for discussion. However, I believe that if anyone who is a true follower of Jesus should always have a natural basic desire to acknowledge, reflect, and honor Him at all times. Especially in and through a lifestyle that showcases the values and virtues of Christ. This Spirit led lifestyle is what Jesus requires of his believers. Because it reflects his divine nature.

Beloved, God’s love is unconditional, but his promises are not. They are contingent. I am not saying that you must work for or to earn God’s “favor”. But it is an obvious fact that clearly shows that the way we live greatly matters and affects how we hear from, experience or even receive from Him. God is not going to bless disobedience, disrespecting and dishonoring Him.

Our attitude and response deeply affect and determines our ability to hear, receive or even have a closer walk with God. He has feelings! “He won’t bless your mess”!

Scripture states in 1st Samuel 2:30 KJV: “For them that honor Me I will honor, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed

Amen! Selah!

Grace and Favour

by Ayomikun Akinwunmi

Grace and favour, like a summer shower,
That falls on flowers and grass and trees,
Is sweeter far than any power,
That wealth, or fame, or honour sees.

Its gentle influence makes the heart
More cheerful, and the mind more bright;
It cheers the poor, it comforts all,
And makes the sorrowing one take flight.

It is a blessing from above,
That all may share, and none can miss;
It is a gift from God’s own love,
That none can take away or bliss.

Then let us all rejoice and sing,
For we have grace and favour here;
And let us pray that we may cling
To God, and nevermore fear.

Beloved, If you want to develop a personal relationship with this Jesus or rededicate your life to Him, please read and embrace the scripture below, then repeat the brief prayer under the scripture

Scripture: Romans 10:9-10 KJV:

  • That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.
  • For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

Brief prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and was raised from the dead. I now repent of my sins and ask that you come into my life and save me, creating the vessel you desire for me to be in Jesus’s name, Amen!
